Deputy leader of PPM’s parliamentary group Riyaz Rasheed has submitted a motion to the parliament to revoke the anti-defection law.
Riyaz submitted the bill in his personal capacity. He stated that he submitted it because as a result of the bill, the parliament members cannot fulfil the duties stated under the article 90 and 75 of the constitution.
It is a campaign pledge of President-elect Solih to revoke this legislation.
