Parliament of the Maldives will be in session tomorrow and four important items have been included in the agenda. The parliament will tomorrow take a vote to decide on a day for President-elect’s inauguration ceremony. In addition the resolution on President Nasheed’s case will also be submitted to the parliament tomorrow.
Furthermore, motions to repeal the anti-defamation law and the anti-defection law will be submitted to the parliament floor as well. Deputy Speaker of the parliament, Moosa Manik said that the motion regarding the inauguration date will be submitted to the floor by the speaker.
The resolution calling to free President Nasheed was submitted by MP Eva Abdullah. Meanwhile MP Abdullah Shahid submitted to repeal the anti-defamation law and PPM’s deputy PG leader Riyaz Rasheed submitted to repeal the anti-defection law.
