An anti-defection law can be made only after amending the constitution : Qasim
Qasim Ibrahim the MP for Maamigili constituency and leader of JP have said that an anti-defection law can be made only after amending the constitution.

Speaking at the parliament today Qasim said that the parliament should not even accept a bill which contradicts the constitution and it should not be even on the agenda. “This bill is unconstitutional. However it was accepted and made into law” said Qasim.

Qasim said that now there is no point of talking about what happened in the past and now is the time to see the way forward for the country.

He further said that, the anti-defection legislation damaged the country as a whole.
