Ahmed Mahloof the member of parliament for Galolhu dhekunu constituency have said that Maseeh will either resign or he will be impeached.
In the past, the members submitted censure motions against the speaker on three separate occasions.
In the first attempt, Maseeh was saved because the voting was a roll call vote rather than the ordinary voting system in the parliament. After that the parliament passed a regulation stating that a censure motion can be submitted with 43 members only. After that the opposition members submitted a censure motion with 45 signatures in 3rd July 2017. The joint opposition has submitted a censure motion for the third time, with 51 signatures this month.
Some members of the parliament say that Maseeh will be removed forcibly because he is remaining as the speaker using force as well.
