MP Saudullah Hilmy have said that the 12 member of parliament who were disqualified by the elections commission have the courage to face the vote of the people.
Saudhullah said that primary and the vote of the people is not the same thing. He said that the president-elect of Maldives Ibrahim Mohammed Solih was given the party ticket without a primary, but he won the election with the vote of the people. He said that, the 12 MPs have the courage to face the vote of the people in that regard.
After President Maumoon announced that the coalition leaders have agreed to give party tickets to the 12 MPs without a primary many people have voiced against it saying that it is undemocratic.
