President Yameen did not complete the investigation in my case because he took part in it : Colonel Nazim
Former Defense Minister colonel Nazim have said that if he was arrested without the president knowledge, and he did not order to investigate the case because President Yameen was involved in it. He raised questions as to why President Yameen did not order to investigate the case.
Colonel Nazim said that the President’s spokesperson might say anything, but he is sure that the police can enter the residence of the Defense Minister with the permission of the President only. He said that Adeeb told him that President Yameen was aware of everything that happened that night.
Nazim noted that DNA of three different individuals were found from the pistol and one matched Adeeb. He said that however the origins of the other two DNA has not been found yet. “The president can order to complete the investigation. The fact that he did not order to do so is one reason why I believe that the president was involved. I was the Defense and National Security minister of President Yameen” said Nazim.
Nazim said that he hopes the President-elect will investigate all cases where people were framed and jail. “Not only me. Many were framed. If the police officers involved in these cases are not brought to justice what happens next will be more dangerous” said Nazim.
