President Solih and Vice President Faisal Naseem have met with the councilors of Addu City. The meeting was held at the President’s Office today.
Speaking at the meeting, the members of the council congratulated the president and the vice president. They also highlighted areas where development is needed in Addu. The members asked the president to make some necessary services available in Addu as well.
In addition they talked about the importance of empowering the councils. Furthermore, they discussed about sewage systems, electricity, condition of the roads and the education sector.
Speaking at the meeting, President said that various development projects are planned in Addu City and that the government will try to solve all the problems Addu is facing right now. In addition he vowed to empower the councils and give them more autonomy.
The meeting was also attended by some MPs who represent Addu City.
