Abdullah Riyaz calls to introduce income tax

MP Abdullah Riyaz the leader of JP’s parliamentary group has called to introduce income tax. Speaking at the parliament, Riyaz said that the government should do many things for the people and for that a lot of money is needed. He said for that, introducing income tax is required.

Riyaz said that in the past 5 years, nothing was done for the development the 5 islands in Kinbidhoo constituency. “This happened because I was against the corruption and oppression of President Yameen’s government” said Riyaz.

Riyaz said that ferry services in Kolhumadulu are provided by MTCC but there is only one Dhoni for the whole atoll. He requested the government to improve the ferry system. 

“The people of the constituency said no to President Yameen because no development has been brought in the past 5 years. I hope that things that were not done by President Yameen will be done after including them in the budget” said Riyaz.

Riyaz spoke at length about the problems faced by the islands in his constituency.
