MP Ahmed Siyam has assumed the leadership responsibilities of MDA. During the recent presidential elections, Siyam delegated his responsibilities to the deputy leader Ali Mauroof and left Maldives.
In a council meeting held yesterday, the council of the party decided to handover the responsibilities to Shiyam again.
Siyam delegated his responsibilities to Maruoof saying that he was busy with his businesses and hence could not give time for the party.
MDA’s council member and media coordinator Sinan Ali said that the party council has decided to contest in all the constituencies in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
