Tourism Minister Ali Waheed has said that he will speak to the media regarding the Nasandhura Palace Hotel next week. President Yameen’s finance minister Munawwar noted that the lease to the land was extended by former Tourism Minister Adeeb, against the regulations, however he withdrew his comments later.
Speaking to the press yesterday, Ali Waheed said that in the first week he met with stakeholders of the tourism industry and got their input. There are some rumors that President Yameen’s house is also being developed by the same company which is developing Nasandhura. Also there are rumors which says that the company received 2 islands for resort development. In addition the company got a project to develop housing units in Hulhumale’.
Ali Waheed said that he wants the public to remain vigilant about the affairs of the tourism ministry and requested the ACC to do so as well. In addition he said that he will never block any media from any of the social media accounts of Tourism Ministry as well.
