President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has extended condolences to the family of Shameema Easa (Shameema Kan’buleygefaanu), upon her demise. While speaking with Azeema Adam; a daughter of late Shameema Kan’buleygefaanu, President Solih said that it was with profound sadness that he received the news of her passing.
Late Shameema Kan’buleygefaanu is locally well recognized for her innumerable and invaluable services in dressmaking and tailoring, as well as training professionals in the field.
The late Shameema Kan’buleygefaanu was also known for her expertise in the field of handicrafts. She has achieved the National Award of Recognition in the field of tailoring and craftsmanship in 1993, and achieved the Award of Recognition in the field of social work during the year 2007.
Moreover, late Shameema Kan’buleygefaanu carried out numerous philanthropic work.
