Mohamed Hameed (MC Hameed) has been appointed as the assistant commissioner of police. He will be heading the intelligence depart of Maldives Police Service from now on.
He was sacked from the police service in 2012. Back then he was the chief superintend and was accused of leaking confidential information.
However earlier this week the Supreme Court ordered to reinstate him and asked to give compensation. Hameed thanked the Supreme Court for ordering to reinstate him.
Hameed said that he is ready to serve the police in whatever capacity he can and will try to improve the institution.
