A new parking space has been opened at Velana International Airport today. Staffs of the airport can park at this space without any fees. The parking area can accommodate 700 cycles. It was officially opened by Transport Minister Aishath Nahula.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Aisha said that this will be of an added convenience to the staffs of the airport and this was among the 100-day goals of the government.
