MP for Velidhoo constituency, Yameen Rasheed has joined Maldives Third-way Democrats. Earlier today Yameen announced that he will not contest in the parliament with a PPM ticket. Yameen was elected to the parliament in 2014 as an MDP member.
However he joined few months after the election. Yameen is seen as a close associate of former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb. MTD is a party founded by Adheeb.
