President of the presidential commission formed to investigate deaths and abductions, Husnu Suood have said that the investigations will be delayed if the commission do not get the necessary powers. The bill sent to the parliament to empower the commission could not be passed because on the final working day of the parliament,
enough members did not show up to the floor. Hence it could not be passed. Speaking to the media, Suood said that because of that, there will be delays in bringing the desired results and if the parliament passed the bill it would have been easier to complete the investigations.
