Coalition leaders agree to try to conduct a parliament session in January

Leaders of the ruling coalition has decided to try to conduct a parliament session in January 2019. This decision was made to pass some important bills which were not passed by the time the parliament went to recess this year.

Speaking to the press after the meeting held by the leaders of the coalition and President Solih, the president said that since the bills regarding the presidential commissions were not passed, the leaders discussed to hold a session of the parliament in January.

In addition he said that they discussed about the coalition contesting in the parliamentary elections together. President Solih said that even thought they did not reach a final agreement, he hopes that an agreement will be reached soon.

Speaking to the press President Maumoon said that the leaders agreed to sustain the relation of the coalition. In the meeting, President Solih shared details of his trip to India with the leaders of the coalition.
