Velana International Airport has reduced the price of jet fuel. According to Maldives Airports Company Limited, 1 liter of jet fuel will be sold for 0.9113 dollars for international flights and that is a 7.5% decrease. In addition the price for domestic flights is 0.92 dollars and that is a 6.9% decrease.
MACL stated that this change will benefit the operators since this is the high season of Maldives in terms of both domestic and international flights.
MACL brought this change during a time government is trying to reduce the price of domestic airfare.
