Human Rights Commission of the Maldives have stated that former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb was changed back to prison against the advise of the doctors.
In a statement issued by the commission regarding Adheeb’s health condition, the commission noted that a doctor from IGMH advised to change Adheeb to a homely environment for two days and noted that Maldives Correctional Service has not done that.
HRCM noted that, according the legislations on jails and parole, the correctional service should follow the advise given to them by the doctors regarding inmates.
