Maldives Ports Limited’s managing director Mr.Shahid Ali has stated that the company will take measures against employees who engage in corruption.
Speaking to the press today, he stated that so far, they have not identified any employee who has engaged in any corrupt activities.
In addition, he said that MPL was involved in the MMPRC embezzlement. Shahid said that MPL gave more than 100 million Rufiyaa to MMPRC to purchase dollars and they have not received more than 70 million Rufiyaa from that.
He said that the company is trying to get back the money through the courts.
