Colonel (Rtd.) Nazim has said that he would like to become a parliament member to make laws that will guarantee rights for all the citizens. In addition he said that he will do what it takes to bring development to Maldives and Dhangethi constituency specifically.
Speaking at a ceremony held to launch his campaign officially, Nazim said that he has served the country for 25 years. He said that he played a key role in various issues the country faced within these years.
Nazim said that the bitter experiences of jail for 3 years and 9 months is one reason which got him interested in the parliament. “When my children visited me in jail they were harassed. My wife was strip searched every time. This is not something anyone would want for their wives. I want to be in the parliament to make laws that will prevent this” said Nazim.
