President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih has declared 7th February 2019 as a non-working because the inaugural session of the parliament for this year will be held on that day.
The first day of the parliament has always been a non-working day but it was changed to a working day by former President Yameen Abdul Gayyoom.
In the inaugural session of the parliament for this year, President Solih will address the parliament for the first time.
The parliament went to recess on 15th December 2018.
