Abdullah Haseen the founder of Maldives Labor and Social Democratic Party MLSDP has said that the party will change Maldives.
Speaking at the first press conference held by the party, Haseen said that the party will ensure that the rights of the workers are protected and said that all NGOs in the Maldives are welcome to join the party.
“This party will change Maldives. Teachers, nurses and journalists have the opportunity to join the party” said Haseen.
He said that what they want to see is the day where a resort worker raises voice on behalf of a teacher who loses his/her job. He said that the labor party will provide that opportunity.
Labor party was officially registered on 21st January. The party held the inaugural session on 11th January and elected an interim governing council.
