Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid has met with officials of US State Department and US Security Council. Minister Shahid met with Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia Ambassador Alice Wells. He discussed on ways to strengthen US-Maldives relations.
The minister also met with David Hale the undersecretary for political affairs and discussed matters of mutual interest. In addition he met with Ambassador at large Nathan and discussed about conducting counter terrorism programs.
The minister was accompanied by state minister of foreign affairs Ahmed Kahleel, and Maldivian Ambassador to UN Dr.Ali Naseer.
