Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid has met with Antonio Guterres the secretary general of the United Nations.
Minister Shahid visited New York to take part in a session of UN Security Council. The minister met with ambassadors and ministers of various countries during the visit. According to Foreign Ministry of the Maldives in the meeting held with the UN secretary general the minister assured that Maldives will advocate for sustainable development and regarding climate change.
Minister Shahid also met with the assistant secretary general of the UN.
After his trip to New York, the minister is now in London. Foreign Minister Shahid was accompanied by some other cabinet ministers as well.
