Football association of the Maldives has suspended New Radiant Sports Club.
A statement issued by FAM today states that the club has failed to pay salaries of 10 players. The club owes 3.8 million Rufiyaa as salary and bonuses to the players.
According to FAM they summoned the officials of New Radiant and gave the various opportunities to pay the salary, but the club failed to comply.
The statement further says that under the authority given to FAM through the article 14 of the by laws of FAM, they have suspended New Radiant from taking part in any activities of FAM until the matter is resolved.
The governing body of FAM has sent the matter to the disciplinary committee of FAM now.
