Tourism Minister Ali Waheed has stated that the ministry will conduct a program to teach staffs of the ministry how to swim.
Speaking to the press at Champa Central Hotek, Ali Waheed said that the same way people try to reduce the use of plastic, drowning incidents should be reduced as well.
He said that a legislation cannot stop such incidents and that it can be stopped when every institution and individual take the initiative on their own to prevent such cases.
Speaking at the press, Environment Minister Dr.Hussein Rasheed said that many schools conduct swimming programs every year but it is still not sufficient. He noted that more programs should be conducted for everyone’s safety.
