Abdullah Shahid the Foreign Minister of the Maldives has met with senior political of the United Kingdom.
The minister met with Helen Grant the Vice Chairperson of the Conservative Party, which is the ruling party of the UK.
After the meeting, Helen Grant tweeted saying that they discussed opportunities for trade and cooperation between the governments of UK and Maldives.
In addition Minister Shahid met with George Hollingbery the British Minister of State for Trade Policy. Minister Shahid revealed on twitter that they discussed potential areas of trade cooperation between the governments of Maldives and the UK.
Minister Shahid also met with David Amess the Chair of All Party Parliamentary Group and MP Hugo Swire the former foreign minister of the UK.
