Abdullah Kamaaludheen has announced that he intends to contest for Fonadhoo constituency in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Former President Maumoon announced yesterday that Abdullah Kamaaludheen will be contesting as a candidate of Maumoon Reform Movement. Abdullah Kamaaludheen was a cabinet minister during former President Maumoon’s administration. He ran for parliament in 2009 as well but he did not win the election.
After that he joined JP and was in JP until late October. After Abdullah Kamaaludheen failed to win a position in the party’s internal elections, he left JP. Now he is working with former President Maumoon. The current MP for Fonadhoo constituency is PNC’s president Abdu Raheem Abdullah who used to be a close associate of former President Maumoon.
