Maldives Labor and Social Democratic Party have decided to contest for 11 constituencies in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
According to the party, they will announce the name of their candidates very soon. They also stated that people who are interested to contest for parliament as Labor Party candidates still have that option.
The party prioritizes people who advocate for workers’ rights and the party will sign an agreement with such candidates.
Labor party is one of the many new parties formed after the September 2018 elections.
