Prominent religious scholar Sheikh Zaid have stated that if the parliament majority is given to one party in the upcoming parliamentary elections, the country will fall into a trap.
Sheikh Zaid tweeted saying that the country has experienced the dangers of giving a super majority to one party.
He also noted that all the powers of the state should be separated and that is the only way in which the government can be held accountable.
Meanwhile, former President Nasheed has stated that the government can implement the government’s pledge only with an MDP majority parliament.
