A petition has been submitted to President Solih calling to dismiss the members of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
A total of 1065 people signed petition and majority of them are residents of Male’ and Addu City.
The organizers of the petition claims that the ACC failed to investigate various corrupt activities that occurred in the Maldives in the past few years. The petition states that since the government has zero tolerance for corruption, it is important to dismiss the current members of ACC to root out corruption.
Meanwhile, Maldives Police Service is investigating the president of ACC on money laundering charges.
