Maldives Correctional Service has decided to gran 6-months maternity leave to all the staffs of the organization.
Upon delivering a baby, all female staffs will get a 6 months paid leave starting from today. In addition, male staffs will get a one-month paternity leave.
On the occasion of the international women’s day President Solih announced that the government will grant 6-months paid maternity leave to all civil servants. Since then many state institutions and state-owned corporations has introduced the paid maternity leaves up to 6 months.
