New 14 check in counters has been opened at Velana International Airport.
According to Maldives Airports Company Limited, now a total of 42 check in counters will operate simultaneously and 400 passengers can be served at the same time.
MACL’s CEO, Moosa Solih said that it will take 3 more years to complete the new terminal of VIA. He said that even though they plan to provide the best service to the passengers.
He said that even now more than 5000 passengers are served daily, and this figure will increase this year. He said that they expect the number to increase in the coming years.
