National Counter Terrorism Center has stated that no Maldivians took part in the bomb attacks in Sri Lanka.
A tweet by the official twitter handle of NCTC states that the center’s international partners have confirmed that no Maldivians were involved in yesterday and today’s attacks.
In addition, the center advised the public not to spread false information. NCTC also requested those who want to inquire more to contact them on 1615.
Some people are claiming that Maldivians were involved in yesterday’s attacks. An extremist Indian, claimed on Twitter that one of the attacker lived in the Maldives in 2016.
