President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih has lifted the suspension of Ahmed Mausoom the chairman of Maldives Water and Sewerage Company and Abdullah Azim a board member of Island Aviation.
They were suspended after the Anti-Corruption Commission’s investigative report on the MMPRC embezzlement case listed the two of them among those who received money through SOF a company which laundered the embezzled funds.
Last week the government also lifted suspension of Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof and State Minister for Planning Akram Kamaaludheen. Both of them were suspended regarding the same case.
