MP Abdullah Riyaz a former police commissioner has stated that Maldives Police Service will show results if there is no political influence on them.
He said this on Twitter today in relation to the recent drug bust Maldives Police Service in Gaaf Dhaal Atoll. The police seized 150 kilograms of drugs in the operation.
This is the largest drug bust in recent history and according to the police the drugs are worth 260 million Rufiyaa.
So far 5 people have been arrested regarding the matter and are currently detained by the police.
