Male’ City Council has stated that starting from Sunday 4268 packets of dates will be distributed to the residents of Male’ city.
According to a statement by the council, one packet of date will be given to every household which is registered as a low income family.
In addition, the statement states that the remaining packets after distributing to the poor, will be given on a first come first serve basis.
Dates will be distributed from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm on working days.
King Salman of Saudi Arabia donated 50 tons of dates to Maldives this year.
