Maldives Police Service has summoned former President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayyoom to police today.
He was sent a summons to appear at the police headquarters at 14:00 hours today. According to sources he was summoned to question regarding the MMPRC embezzlement case.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Court has scheduled a hearing for tomorrow in the money laundering case against the former president. Tomorrow’s hearing is scheduled to issue a verdict on the case.
