President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih has stated that all the samples from suspected patients sent abroad for testing found negative for corona virus.
President Solih made this statement today while addressing the nation in the inaugural session of the parliament for this year. He talked about the looming dangers of the corona virus to the Maldives and the whole world.
He said that even though there is a high risk for Maldives, so far no Maldivian has been found positive for the virus. He said that the Maldivian authorities are working closely with officials from World Health Organization to ensure the safety of Maldivians.
Even though there are 3 people in quarantine, with the new results it has been ensured that no Maldivian has been infected with the virus.
