Government has announced that Maldives corona virus status is still white as so far no one has been tested positive for the virus.
Speaking at a press conference held last night Tourism Minister Ali Waheed said that the government is taking measures to combat with the virus and so far the results are good. He said that the government will take further steps to ensure that the virus doesn’t spread in Maldives.
Government has at the moment stopped all non-essential travels to and from Kurehdhoo resort and Vaavu. Thinadhoo. In addition starting from today, all flights to and from Italy will be halted.
Government put Thinadhoo and Kurehdhoo under quarantine until the suspected cases from these two islands are tested.
