Two spinal surgeries have been conducted for the first time at Addu Equatorial Hospital.
This is the first spinal surgery every to be conducted outside Male’ region. A 64- year old female and a 68 year old male underwent surgery today. A team of doctors form IGMH conducted the surgery.
Doctors in the team are Dr.Shaan, Dr.Munshid and Dr.Hazem. In addition anesthetists, nurses and other OT staffs of the hospital took part in the operation.
Addu Equatorial Hospital is the first tertiary hospital outside Male’ region.
