Arab Foreign Ministers strongly condemned recent Israeli actions, describing them as grave violations of international law and direct threats to regional and international peace and security.
They rejected the approval of a settlement plan in the “E1” area by Israeli Minister Bezalel Smotrich and his statements opposing a Palestinian state, stressing that Israel has no sovereignty over Occupied Palestinian Territory. The ministers reaffirmed their rejection of all settlement activities, citing UN Security Council Resolution 2334 and the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion on the illegality of Israel’s occupation.
The statement warned of the dangers of continued settlement expansion, settler violence, and incursions into Palestinian towns, as well as attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites, including Al-Aqsa Mosque. Such actions, they said, fuel conflict and undermine prospects for peace.
The ministers also condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza, describing them as crimes of aggression, genocide, and ethnic cleansing. They called for an immediate ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian access, and an end to the blockade, while holding Israel fully responsible as the occupying power.
They reaffirmed that Gaza is an integral part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and stressed the need for the Palestinian Authority to assume governance responsibilities across Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.
Finally, the ministers urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council and the United States, to act decisively to stop Israel’s aggression, protect the Palestinian people, and support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
