Chairman of State Trading Organization (STO), Ahmed Niyaz has said that the company wants students to develop their technical skills.
STO Chairman Niyaz made this remark speaking at the School Band Festival organized by the company.
The festival was held yesterday afternoon at Artificial Beach area. He said that the festival is not held as a competition but held as part of the activities of the celebration of the golden jubilee of STO.
He said that the purpose of the STO Band Festival is to increase the activities by bands in Maldivian schools.
Seven schools in Male’ showcased their bands at the festival held yesterday afternoon at the Artificial Beach.
The festival was a joint effort of the Maldives National Cadet Corps, Ministry of Education and the STO.
