Govt cannot continue with support of only 25 percent of the people – Evila
MP for Thoddoo Ibrahim Hassan (Evila) hass aid that the President cannot remain in power regardless how much he wants that because 75 percent of the people are against him.

He made this remark in a press briefing held following the Presidential Address. Evila said that the “thumbsdown” gesture that the President made at the opposition members after delivering the Presidential Address speaks volumes regarding his despotism.

Ibrahim Hassan said that the PPM members are in reality against the arrest of former Defence Minister (colonel) Mohamed Nazim. He said that they do not want the trial to continue.

He said that the gesture that the President made was a gesture he made towards 75 percent of the voting community.

Evila said that it can only be interpreted as a warning to the people that they will have to suffer in the current government.

He said that all candidates during the election promises the people that they will treat all people equally however after coming to power they go against it.
