Jumhooree Party leader, Gasim Ibrahim has met with the US Ambassador to Maldives to discuss regarding the current political situation of Maldives.
The meeting was held at M. Kunooz yesterday evening. Gasim Ibrahim informed the ambassador of the current situation in detail.
In this regard, Gasim discussed the arrest of former Defence Minister Colonel (retired) Mohamed Nazim, former President Mohamed Nasheed and the charges made against them.
In addition to this, the Jumhooree Party leader also shared with the Ambassador the amendments brought to the constitution by the ruling party members in the Majlis.
Deputy Political Chief of the US Embassy was also present during the meeting.
