Galolhu Dhekunu MP Ahmed Mahloof has said that some members of the Peoples’ Majlis and cabinet ministers will be standing against the government of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom soon.
“First Jumhooree Party. Then it was me. Tonight it was the Adhaalath Party. Hopefully soon it will be some cabinet ministers and PPM Majlis members,” he said.
Nolhivaram member Hussein Areef who previously joined PPM has again signed to Jumhooree Party. Areef has revealed that he is with the Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim.
Jumhooree Party and MDP have been calling all Majlis members to join their campaign to defend the constitution of Maldives which is being violated by the government.
In this regard, Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim stated that it is the representatives of the people in the Peoples’ Majlis who should be at the forefront of this campaign.
