Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Ameen Ibrahim has said that the person of authority in a country has the power to resolve issues.
Ameen Ibrahim said that although the three powers of state are demarcated and separated, the highest authority is the President of a country.
“Therefore, the President is obliged to use his authority to resolve any issues that arises even in other powers of state. This is not regarded as influencing the other powers of state,” he said.
In addition to this, the Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party criticized the Prosecutor General. He said that the recent actions of the Prosecutor General raises many questions.
He said that some of the members of the Jumhooree Party voted in favour of the Prosecutor General during the Majlis vote in hopes that he will bring reform to the Prosecutor General’s office. However, he noted that the actions of the Prosecutor General is very worrying.
