AP calls for national solidarity against oppression
Adhaalath Party has called to establish national solidarity against oppression. AP made this call at a press conference held at the head office of the party.

The President of Adhaalath Party made this remark stating that such a movement can be established only when all the people stand up against oppression.

Sheikh Imran said that Adhaalath Party is willing to join anyone in order to achieve that goal. He called for all political parties and civil institutions to join together and stand up against the violence and to work for a better future.

He said that Adhaalath Party will support anyone who participates in this movement. He added that the party is anticipating the response of other parties.

“Only after everyone comes together would we discuss and decide what to do next. But even now the country’s political sphere is changing at a fast pace,” he said.

Meanwhile Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has decided to work with Adhaalath Party following this announcement of the Adhaalath President, Sheikh Imran Abdulla.

The decision was made at the Steering Committee of MDP with the unanimous agreement of the 55 members who participated in the meeting.

The resolution to work with Adhaalath Party was submitted by Hinnavaru MP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
