Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has decided to work with Adhaalath Party following the announcement of the Adhaalath President, Sheikh Imran Abdulla that they were willing to work with anyone to stand up against the tyranny of the current government.
The decision was made at the Steering Committee of MDP with the unanimous agreement of the 55 members who participated in the meeting.
The resolution to work with Adhaalath Party was submitted by Hinnavaru MP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Sheikh Imran yesterday sent a letter of MDP calling for a meeting to discuss the possibility of a partnership.
Many raise questions as to how both parties will be working together as both have very conflicting ideologies.
