MDP PG Group Leader Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) has said that there is no justice and fairness in Maldives.
Ibu made this remark speaking at the public rally of MDP held at Carnival state on Thursday night.
He said that the government is destroying the fundamental values of democracy. He said that the government has annihilated the most important fundamental value of democracy.
Ibu said that the government did not stop at just breaching the constitutional for their own gain but are also oppressing every single individual who are standing against them.
He said that the list of people being oppressed by the government for just criticizing their wrongs is a very long list. However, he said that the names of Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim, former Defence Minister Nazim and former President Mohamed Nasheed are among the most oppressed.
Ibu said that MDP will always remain steadfast against all these oppression. He said that he assures the people that they will not stop the fight until justice is established and oppression is lifted.
He said that it is important for all political parties to unite together to fight oppression.
